North to Alaska
Out Now
Synopsis
John Wayne and Stewart Granger portray rough and tumble prospectors in this light-hearted adventure set in the rowdy hey-day of the Alaskan gold rush. When Sam McCord (Wayne) and George Pratt (Granger) finally strike it rich, George asks Sam to go to Seattle and bring back his fiancee. But Sam falls in love with the spirited girl himself, and eventually George accepts his loss as he looks for other girls and other brawls. Co-starring Ernie Kovacs and Fabian, directed by Henry Hathaway, and showcasting a different side of Wayne, North To Alaska boasts comedy as well as action.
