Synopsis
From Academy Award® winning producer John Battsek and director John Dower, Once In A Lifetime is a richly detailed documentary. It chronicles Warner Communications founder Steve Ross in his bid to bring English Football to America during the decadent 1970s via his investment in the New York Cosmos.
They became the football equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters, and signed soccer giants Pele, Carlos Alberto
and many more. Through random ego driven and/or impulse decisions, the
team's flamboyant "larger than life" team-mates and executives created
a huge success with a fan base including everyone from the fashion,
music, art, political and business worlds.
