After being struck by lightning, a septugenarian professor (Tim Roth) is mysteriously rejuvinated, gaining incredible mental powers which will help him complete his magnum opus on language, time and consciousness - that is, if he can escape Romanian spies, a sinister Nazi doctor and, most dangerously, a beautiful woman who rekindles the love he thought was lost forver.
